Heartland Vintage Wines, Inc.
Kermit Lynch Product Line
In 1971, Kermit set out to
explore France, having virtually
no wine experience or
knowledge of the language, and
one year later opened his shop
in Albany, California.  After
twenty-five years in the
importing business Kermit still
continues to remain faithful to
this personal philosophy.
Robert Parker, renowned wine
writer, says, “A Kermit Lynch
selection is about as close to a
guarantee of quality as you are
likely to find.”  He’s been called
by other wine writers
“uncompromising”,
“meticulous”, “fastidious”.

Despite this success Kermit
avoids any hints of wine
snobbery.  In the Kermit Lynch
portfolio you find quaint French
country wines alongside great
red and white Burgundy.  All
Kermit Lynch selections are
personally selected by him
during his annual stay in France
from May to November.  Most
are bottled unfiltered, because
Kermit feels filtration can strip
a wine of its essence.  All are
shipped in refrigerated ocean
cargo containers to assure they
arrive in the U.S. just as he
tasted them in Europe.  For
several years now his wines
have been available in many
states in addition to the retail
shop in Berkeley from which his
business was launched.

Kermit Lynch appreciates and
emphasizes individuality and
encourages his customers to
try new and unknown wines.
Dare to be different and
discover this “world of magic”
yourself.
